Commissioner Steve Booth

​Stephen “Steve" Booth has lived in the Sacramento area since 1980 and is a retired Labor Relations and Human Resources professional with 44 years of experience in both management and labor union advocacy roles in state and local government as well as schools and special districts.​

He is a former Governor's appointee to the State Department of Personnel Administration/Department of Human Resources where he represented the State in labor-management relations and negotiations.

He most recently served as the Assistant Vice President for Human Resources and Labor Relations at Sacramento Regional Transit District. Mr. Booth is on the registry for private arbitrators maintained by the State Mediation and Conciliation Service and arbitrates labor-management disputes on a part-time basis.

Mr. Booth was appointed to the Civil Service Commission on August 9, 2022 to serve as the District 4 Appointee. His term expires June 30, 2026.
